Spring

It's been a cold, dreary month and I haven't been taking very many photographs of late. But yesterday it was in the 60's and Django and I walked along the river for three hours. Spring is in the air and I'm noticing the songs of the birds are changing.

Today is Candlemas, or Brighid's Day, and we received a beautiful spring like snow. I consider this day the beginning of spring...you can feel the earth bubbling with life below your feet. When Cail was little I would read to him stories about the root children and how they were busy underground cleaning off the plants and bugs and getting them ready to rise up through the ground.
